Ms. Alicia Lawson previously served as the Historical Research Student Lead for the project. She continues to work alongside the historical and archival research staff and volunteers, researching Wisconsinite MIA cases as part of the project’s Wisconsin initiative. Alicia graduated from UW-Madison in Spring of 2021, with B.A. degrees in Anthropology and History along with Archaeology, Classical Studies, and Leadership Certificates. The UW MIA RIP has offered a unique intersection of her scholarly interests and studies on campus. She joined the UW MIA RIP in September 2019 as a historical researcher, collaborating with the team to grow the investigative aspect of the project. She is currently attending graduate school out of state.
